I feel most comfortable with Unity3D to give born my ideas. It is easy to implement MVC design pattern UI and create a great UI/UX. Nowadays there is such platform that could be more efficient but if we talk about a simple applications, and especially if we are not dependent on device features.
Any of you developers use Unity3D for no-game application ?
If the answer will be yes then Why the developer would have initialized an entire 3D Engine, Physics and Renderer while you need only UI System that work's way slower than native.
Some advantages I see in using Unity, it’s helpful in case of prototyping.
- it will be faster than learning a new framework if you know how to create UI and implement clean desing pattern
- create once publish multiple places
- you can use effects using animations
- you can display both 3D and 2D
Tools I used:
- Unity 3D
- Visual Studio (scripts)
- Illustrator (mockups, layouts and icons)
- NodeJS (backend)
- MongoDB NoSQL (data base)
- Studio 3T (data base browser)
- Facebook SDK
